Summer Sale

Christian Fiction Summer Sale

I’m participating in a promotion with a number of other authors in a Christian Fiction Summer Sale. I put Sudden Mission in and it will be available for $0.99 for the next week in all the outlets.Christian Fiction Summer Sale

Christian Fiction Summer Sale

Some of the authors are former Vox Dei and have either found new publishers or are self-publishing now. This promotion should help us all build some sales over the next week.

Some of the books are only on sale on Amazon. Sudden Mission is on sale on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBook, and Kobo. The 14 titles cover many different topics, but all have strong, Christian-based stories. If you already have Sudden Mission, pass this on to friends and family who are interested. Check out the other books, too. I bet you’ll find some great summer reads there at a great price.

Don’t forget to check out my reading of Nasty Leftovers at Auntie’s Bookstore in downtown Spokane on Sept. 15, and the Montana Book Festival in Missoula, MT, Sept. 21-25. See the Events page for details.

I recently took a short story, Mars in the Middle, out of the trunk and rewrote it. I put the story in first person, punched up the narrative and dialog , fixed the ending, and submitted it to an interesting market. We’ll see what happens.

Stay tuned, and keep writing.

Price Promo

Price Promo

Sudden Mission CoverSudden Mission goes on sale for $0.99 today (or tonight or tomorrow, depending on when the price kicks in) on Amazon, Kobo, Nook, and iBooks! This price promo is good through Wednesday morning, July 27. Again, that depends on time zones and how quickly the price change takes on the various vendors.

If you’ve held off getting started in the Spirit Missions series, now is the time to jump in. Or, if you already got one or both books, now is a good time to gift Sudden Mission to friends, relatives, or complete strangers who might like to read it.

As mentioned in earlier posts, if you read it, leave a review or rating where you got it. Reviews or ratings are very important these days and help get a book in front of more people.

Enjoy! Keep checking back for a possible promotion for Nasty Leftovers.

Keep writing.

Preparing for Relaunch

Preparing Relaunch

I’m in the middle of preparing to relaunch the e-book versions of Sudden Mission and Nasty Leftovers as soon after May 31 as possible. I’ll relaunch the print versions shortly after, probably about mid-June.

BugBear Books is an official trade name, and I have the accounts on Amazon, iBook, Nook, and Kobo set up. The bulk of the work involves preparing the books in the various electronic formats and making sure things work as expected. I stumbled across a couple of typos I want to correct before I relaunch, as well. Odd what you encounter when you read to an audience. I want the quality as good, if not better, than we had with the previous publisher.

I hope to have Sudden Mission back online on June 1. If all works well, I should have Nasty Leftovers up a day or so later. Of course, Murphy rules and there is a lot going on that may impact the timing. As mentioned before: buying a house, selling a house, moving, and maintaining the schedule. It just never stops.

Of course, right in the middle of all this, I’ll be in Missoula for MisCon 30. Check the Events page for my schedule at that convention. I’ll have some Booktrope editions of both books available and will be signing, as per the schedule. It’ll be great to meet readers, friends, family, and other writers. I’m bringing a special book with me and plan to get an autograph from an old friend.

Stay tuned. I’ll post as I can over the next couple of weeks as things progress. I’ll also try to get a post with pics and all from MisCon. Should be fun.

Keep writing, and thanks for your support and patience.

It Is Launch Day!

Sudden Mission CoverToday, August 18, is Sudden Mission launch day! The novel is released. Officially.

I say officially because Sudden Mission has been available at Amazon, Nook and Apple iBook for a few days. Yesterday, I had the pleasant surprise of finding the book ranked number one in its category on Amazon. And the day before, it got its first five star review! So, things are already moving along and the book is about to ride a wave of momentum.

ABOUT VOX DEI

Our name rhymes with Fox Day. We’re an imprint of Booktrope, a new type of publishing company founded in 2011 in Seattle, WA, that’s pioneering a model called team publishing. Our mission at Vox Dei is to provide books for a primarily Christian audience that edify and entertain, encourage and inspire. While Christian themes are woven throughout our fiction, our purpose is not to preach a sermon but rather provide a quality alternative to the secular market for entertainment. Our non-fiction titles are intended to help readers explore the Bible in a more personal way and grow in their walk with Christ, while being informal in voice and approach. Whether fiction or non, our goal is to shine the light and love that is central to the Christian faith into a dark and messy world. Learn more at voxdeipublishing.com.
