It has been a very busy time and I’ve been a really bad boy. Sorry for not posting in a while. Family, travel (see pic), and other issues have kept me away from the keyboard. But, here I go, trying to get back into the grind.

Grandkids have been achieving some pretty amazing things lately. One is graduating and preparing to go to college and play collegiate volleyball. Her club volleyball team participated in the Nationals in Reno, NV and we got to attend. Another became a state champ in pole vault and tied for fouth at Nike Nationals, and she’s a junior. So, yeah, I’m bragging.

In a previous post (2026), I mentioned being part of a celebration for our country’s 200th birthday on July 4, 1976. This year, I get to participate in the 250th birthday! As that date approaches and I hit my birthday the day before, I feel very fortunate to have experienced this.

As for writing, I have been so busy with family, travel, health issues and all, I haven’t been able to get to the keyboard enough to get anything done. Of course, events in the last several years have slowed or shut down a lot of the usual events I would attend. SpoCon is no longer. Missoula’s MisCon is still going, but just not the kind of event that would work for me.

I will be attending a family reunion at the end of July, but I’m one of the few left with the Pace last name in our family. I’m not sure how many more of those reunions we will have. Yes, there are Paces all over the place, I know. Just not that closely related geneologically or geographically. The Paces I’m related to had an impact on Southern Idaho in migration, law enforcement, agriculture, and trade. That’s one of the great things about going to those gatherings and interacting with the extended family.

I will do my best to post more frequently and with relevant information. Thank you all for your support and attention!

Keep writing!
